We are Hoosier Heartland Alpacas in beautiful South Central Indiana and we specialize in Alpaca products that are made from the fiber that we harvest from our herd each year. We do have alpaca fleeces for sale as well as spinning fibers, yarns, hats, scarves, rugs and everything in between.

Our Alpacas graze freely on lush green pastures during the warmer months and then we dry lot them during the winter months when there is no grass. Sometime mid-April til mid-May we will harvest their fiber and then turn it into the beautiful products you see in our store right here in our farm house studio.

We practice good husbandry on the farm and have always improved on the quality of our fiber which also lets us create beautiful yarns and wearable art. We are exceptionally picky about making sure the fleeces are clean of anything even before it is washed, and continue picking out anything that might have escaped our eye before it is turned into a finished product. We are a smoke free home and we are very conscious about the quality of the products that are created here. We want you to be very happy with what you are receiving.

We began our alpaca journey in 2010 when our first alpacas arrived in May. We’ve had many babies (Cria) born right here on our farm. We decided to raise alpacas for their fiber and because The Farmer's Wife wanted to learn how to spin their fleeces into beautiful yarn that she could turn into lovely gifts for our family.

The Farmer's Wife began knitting and crocheting as a child and has created many hats and scarves. Early adulthood, she bought her first loom and began creating rugs and from there branched out into making table runners, placemats, handbags and even some pieces of fabric so that I could create other things to wear. After the journey into alpacas in 2010, The Farmer's Wife has now added spinning yarn into her livelihood as well and loves every bit of it.

The Farmer and his Wife, do thank you for taking time to read about our farm and we sincerely thank you for supporting our small farm where we try to be good stewards.
